Formerly a fishing village, Dahab is one of Sinai's best diving destinations. After a short walk over the coral reef to the edge, where the steep "wall" drops down dramatically to the depths below, the diver is surrounded by brightly colored fish darting about in profusion. Its wide expanses of fine, white sands are among the most beautiful in Sinai. Dahab is world renowned for its wind-surfing, since its winds are sufficiently strong for the sport at least 300 days a year.
