Tour itinerary:
Pick up at your hotel in Cairo or Giza & transfer to Cairo airport to catch your domestic Flight to Aswan. Meet & assist at Aswan airport by our representatives. Transfer to visit the High Dam of Aswan, Egypt's modern example of construction on a monumental scale. The controversial Aswan High Dam contains 18 times the amount of material used in the Great Pyramid of Khufu and created Lake Nasser, the world's largest artificial lake.
Transfer to visit the Unfinished Obelisk which still lies in its granite bed in the quarry, left behind because of a severe flaw in the stone.
Enjoy a marvelous tour to the Temple of Isis on the island of Philae which was famous during the Greco-Roman period. There you can see, in front of the first pylon, two granite lions. On the walls of the temple of Philae were inscribed the latest hieroglyphic and demotic inscriptions.
Then lunch in a local restaurant.
Take your felucca ride on the Nile River in Aswan. Enjoy a fantastic sailing experience as you sail around Elephantine Island and visit the famous Botanical Gardens in Aswan. The felucca will sail to the Aswan Botanical Garden "Lord Kitchener's Island". The island was given to Lord Horatio Kitchener in the 1890s when he was commander of the Egyptian army. Indulging his passion for beautiful palms and plants, Lord Kitchener turned the entire island into a stunning botanical garden, importing plants from the Far East, India and parts of Africa. Covering 6.8 hectares, it turned to be a paradise of exotic trees and plants in carefully gardens with view walkways. It later passed into the property of the Egyptian government and was used as a research station for examining different food and cash crops. Enjoy walking among the majestic Royal palm tree, the Sabal Palm tree, the phonic Pam tree, Ficus trees, and the beautiful bougainvillea trees. Take your ride back and watch the sun sets slowly over the trees of the Botanical Island, the nearby Elephantine Island, and the Aswan Nobles tombs with fantastic reflection of a sand dune over the Nile. Back to the Nile side and then transfer to Aswan airport to fly back to Cairo. Meet & assist at Cairo airport. Transfer to your hotel. End of our services.
